Thornless cactus of the Lophophora Williamsii family, known as Hikuri or Peyote, comes from Northern Mexico. Its use among the Mara'kames of the Huichol people dates back to millenary times, governing through ceremonies all aspects of daily life, including religious agricultural calendar. For thousands of years it has been used in traditional medicine as a powerful diagnostic tool and, on a spiritual level, a harmonizer of spirits, protector of family, marriage and peaceful coexistence.
